Welcome to Porter’s on Main.
A taste of heritage, a tradition of hospitality.
With the opening of Porter's on Main in June 2025, owner and restaurateur Gary Ward realized a vision for something special on Gloucester's Historic Main Street: a sophisticated, high-end dining destination where neighbors can enjoy exceptional food and expertly crafted cocktails without leaving town.
Named in honor of Gary’s grandson, Porter, Porter's on Main is located in a charming 1920s building, blending historic warmth with a cool, upscale vibe. Our kitchen serves up generous, elevated comfort: from rich beef short ribs and hand-cut ribeyes to fresh seasonal catches, thoughtfully paired with our signature cocktail menu and a collection of 27 premium whiskeys and bourbons.
Whether you're celebrating a special milestone or simply stopping in for a weekend cocktail at the bar, we’re here to make you feel right at home.
